You and your production company have come up with a fantastic idea. The script is written and you have the storyboards drawn up and you inivision the idea to be portayed on screen in such a specific way that it would be almost unjust to do it any other. A movie can be written and crafted but only when you find the perfect actor/actress who can put passion into the performance and become the character, can you feel your story has been told. Working on a current Drama Project, titled "Made by Evie", my group and I are no strangers to the difficulty of casting a character that could handle the role of a young woman suffering from Schizophrenia brought on from a trauma at a young age. Writing the script was emotional purely due the weight of the stroyline, so for me it was very important that the chosen actress would do the role justice. For weeks, we searched for a girl who would stand out enough to take the lead. After plenty of disappointments, someone came along and she was nothing short of perfect for the role. She had done roles closely similar to this in the past and felt keen to take on the responsibilty of playing as Evelyn.
Rule of thumb from now; patience.
